Basil Reports to FCID

Previous Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa has purportedly touched base at  Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) of police to give an announcement in regards to the claims of money related misrepresentation against him.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and the Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) of Sri Lanka police have gotten a few objections against the previous priest.


The FCID needs to question Basil Rajapaksa on the abuse of a store under the Ministry of Economic Development.

The allegations have been leveled on spending tip stores of the Divi Neguma Department for the presidential decision and spending Rs. 70 million for a summit.

Kaduwela Magistrate a month ago requested the police to scrutinize the previous priest on the claims.

Then,  the Secretary to the previous President, Lalith Weeratunga, has been summoned to the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) to record an announcement in regards to a money related exchange of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
