Will SF go to parliament? ; AG to choose today

The Attorney General is to state today (22) whether Sarath Fonseka can be restored as a parliamentarian if MP Jayantha Ketagoda leaves from his MP portfolio.

After President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday conceded a presidential acquittal to Sarath Fonseka, restoring his titles and benefits, MP Ketagoda has consented to leave if Fonseka confronted no legitimate obstructions over re-entering parliament.

Despite the fact that Fonseka was chosen to parliament from the Colombo region in the wake of challenging the last General Election under the Democratic National Front (DNA), he lost his MP portfolio after the Rajapaksa government stripped him of his community rights.

In like manner Jayantha Ketagoda, who got the following most number of particular votes from the DNA after Fonseka, was designated to parliament.

At the present, Fonseka is a part of the Anti Corruption Front of the National Executive Council.
