We'll not join government says JVP

The JVP won't acknowledge any portfolios or collaborate with the new legislature of President Maithripala Sirisena, its pioneer Anura Kumara Dissanayake said.

He made the party's stand clear at a gathering held at its office at Battaramulla today (January 12).

He said that under the 100-day program the Agriculture Ministry will have the capacity to grow one assortment, the Education Ministry won't even have one school term to pass by and the Housing Ministry will have the capacity to establish just the Frameworks.

Dissanayake said that the JVP approached at the Presidential race for two reasons with one being the toppling of the tyranny of previous President Mahinda Rajapaksa which was a win.

He said the second step was the foundation of vote based system in the nation.
