Sri Lankan police have informed Indian security authorities about Ishara Sewwandi, a key suspect in the murder of underworld figure Ganemulla Sanjeeva.
Sewwandi is accused of orchestrating the shooting that took place at the Hulftsdorp Magistrate’s Court.
A senior police officer stated that extensive measures are in place to prevent Sewwandi from fleeing the country.
However, if she manages to escape to India, her photos and details have already been shared with Indian authorities to facilitate her arrest.
The officer clarified that there is no confirmed information suggesting Sewwandi has entered India or fled the country.
